Who we are

Founded in 1973, with a focus on the Latin American market of mechanized industrial cutting, mainly in the Metal and Wood segments, Wagner Lennartz has an extensive line of products and a network of distributors and representatives in Brazil and Latin America.

Our history begins in Reutlingen, Germany, with the foundation of the Wagner Maschinenfabrik in 1890 which, in addition to saws, manufactured industrial cutting machines. In 1896, in Remscheid in Germany, Gebr. Lennartz was founded, saws manufacturer for more than 116 years, today the world’s largest reference in large metal saws.

In 2005, to advance new market segments and incorporate new technologies, Wagner Lennartz do Brasil joined Simonds International. With this new joint venture, the company took a new leap with the expansion and modernization of its industrial plant, starting to manufacture band saws at the Diadema plant in São Paulo. Simonds International Inc., founded in the USA in 1832, is a leading global supplier of wood and metal saws for more than 180 years.

Adding the period of our existence to that of our partners abroad, we have more than a century of accumulated experience in the sector of mechanized industrial cutting.

Foundation of Gebrueder Lennartz in Remscheid, Germany.
It is currently considered the world’s largest reference in large-diameter sawing blades for metal cutting.

Foundation of Wagner Lennartz do Brasil, a partnership between Wagner Maschinenfabrik and Gebrueder Lennartz. At the request of the German steel and auto parts factories in Brazil, the two companies come together to found a factory specialized in industrial cutting in Diadema – São Paulo. It then moved on to the Latin American market, supported by a network of distributors and local representatives.

Formation of a Joint Venture between Wagner Lennartz and Simonds.
In order to advance in new market areas and to incorporate new technologies, the
Simonds International Inc. forms a Joint Venture with Wagner Lennartz, where they started manufacturing metal and wood band saws, giving a new technological and market leap.

The company was acquired by a group of Brazilian investors.
Now, focusing on industrial growth, considering the development of new products and technologies to serve national and international markets, the
Wagner Lennartz of Brazil was baptized with a new brand, supported by three main pillars: innovation, technology and competitiveness.
The WS / Wagner Lennartz Serras is born.
